In 2015 I was approached by the team over at 'The Westminster Collection' and asked if I'd be happy to provide some unique artworks for a collection of 12 coins. The launch was in March 2016 and commemorates the first appearance of the new 'War Winning weapon' at the Battle of Flers-Courcelette during the Somme Offensive of 1916.
I happily undertook the commission and, until now have not been able to 'broadcast' the collection as I was asked not to.
The Tank was destined to return mobility to warfare which was bogged down in trenches raked by machine gun fire and go on to change the face of the battlefield forever.
The collection charts the progress of tank design across both World Wars and nations ending in the modern day.
Each artwork background was completed in pencil and appears as an engraving with the tank itself printed in colour exactly as I painted the original.
I hope you like the artwork and enjoy the collection, the link below takes you directly to the Westminster Collection website and, I hope you order and enjoy the first such collection that someone wanted me to contribute to.
