Here we see a Panther with it's turret crew in a cameo behind. It is easy to forget at times, that a tank will only ever be as good as the crew manning it.
Humans that crew tanks (I speak from personal experience) get into their beasts and, once plugged into the various systems inside, become as one with the machine. Comradeship in a tank crew is something inexplicable to those who have not experienced it, having to utterly trust in each others abilities and living in such intimate surroundings inevitably forms many seemingly unbreakable bonds of friendship.
I drew this picture to remind us of the bond of humanity regardless of nationality.
