M043 - The Scheme Brew mug.

A mug for those of us who served and participated on 'Schemes'.

I hear you ask "What's a 'scheme'?

Well, When I joined 3RTR - I learned quickly to refer to an exercise as a 'scheme' in Army parlance. Recently I was in conversation when someone asked "why do we refer to it as a 'Scheme' where did the term originate? On Google, it says that the belief is that it refers to a 'large scale planned exercise or operation' stemming from scheme being and alternative word of 'Plan'.

To be honest, it didn't matter to us how big or small the exercise was, it was still a 'scheme'.

Some of the longer periods of time in the field meant that our drinking mugs could take on a somewhat 'rustic' appearance due to a lack of washing up! Swarfega splodges from the brew makers hands or his oily finger prints and coffee or tea drip residue!! Pretty unhealthy however, I'm still hale and healthy but i've reflected the dirty appearance in the design with no health risk.
