Product Details

Many of my friends served on the Saladin 6 Wheeled armoured car. Developed by Crossley motors but later manufactured by Alvis, it entered British Army service in 1958 and due to its excellent perfomance and reliability has been bought and seen service with many foreign countries. In fact it is even today, still in service with some of those countries.

The Saladin shared many common components with the Saracen armoured personnel carrier and Stalwart high mobility load carrier. Initially armed with a quick firing Ordnance 2pdr gun, it was later modified with a 76mm low pressure gun which would provide heavier firepower in the support role. That gun would later share the same ammunition as used on the CVR(T) Scorpion.

The vehicle pictured depicts one used by Great Britain during the crisis in Aden 1964 to 1967. I have tried, as usual, to detail the vehicle as much as possible and, hope you're happy with the result.

This A3 original sketch is signed and supplied with a certificate of authenticity mounted ready to slip straight into your frame. The price includes UK P&P.

Note: The picture has a smart black 'high quality plastic glass' framed option you may select which automatically updates the cost but which still includes post and packingBuyers outside of the UK please contact me for postal details.
