Product Details

The 1911 Marshall 8 horse single cylinder traction engine

In 1842 William Marshall bought the defunct engineering works of William Garland and Son at Back Street Foundry in Gainsborough. In 1849 he renamed it the Britannia Ironworks and began to produce road steam engines under the company name 'Marshall'. Here we see an example of one of their General Purpose Locomotive builds from 1911 as it leaves an industrial area to collect its next load from somewhere.

This print is supplied as a signed, A4 sized, mounted and framed product - shipped in a protective cardboard shipper. The frame has a high quality styrene glass sheet which will require the protective cello sheet removing before you hang the picture. The price stated includes UK 1st class postage.

If you live outside the UK and would like to place an order then please message me through the contact page and I'll be in touch with details as quickly as possible.
